The Matters List
The dashboard is your home screen. It opens on All Matters — a sortable, filterable list of every matter in your organisation — with a navigation sidebar for switching between views, tasks, deadlines, contacts and the calendar.
The matters table
Each row is a matter. The default columns are ID, Name, Type, Current Step, Filing Date, Applicant, Attorney and Next Deadline. Click any row to open that matter.
- Sort a column with the up/down chevrons in its header.
- Filter by typing directly into a column header.
- Search everything with the box at the top of the table.
- Use the toolbar icons to export to CSV, refresh the data, or open view settings.
The navigation sidebar
The left sidebar switches the dashboard between its modes and surfaces things that need attention:
- Matters, Tasks, Deadlines, Contacts and Calendar.
- Unbilled Time, showing the running total of time not yet invoiced.
- Intake Forms, Approvals and Automation Errors, each with a badge when there is something waiting.

Creating a matter
Click + New Matter to open the inline creation form. Choose a matter type, give the matter a name, and optionally apply tags for later sorting and filtering.

Finding anything quickly
Press the Search item in the sidebar (or its keyboard shortcut) to open spotlight search — a global lookup that finds matters from anywhere in the app and jumps straight to them.
