Tasks
Tasks are the to-dos on a matter — the actions that need doing and by when. The Tasks section lists every task on the file so you can see what's due, who owns it and how urgent it is.
The tasks list
Tasks are shown in Task, Due Date, Assigned To, Status and Priority columns, ordered by due date. Status tells you at a glance whether a task is Pending, Overdue or completed, and priority is colour-coded (High, Medium, Low). Click any task to open it, edit its details or mark it complete.
The same tasks also appear in the Tasks panel on the matter Overview, and feed the firm-wide Tasks list on the dashboard.
Creating a task
Click + Add Task (or use + New → Task in the header) to open the task creator. Give the task a name, then set its details:
- Due Date — use a quick button (Tomorrow, 3 Days, 1 Week, 2 Weeks, 3 Weeks, 1 Month, 3 Months) or pick an exact date.
- Actual deadline — turn this on to show the task as a deadline in the calendar, for dates you must not miss.
- Priority — High, Medium or Low.
- Assigned To — the person responsible.
- Tags and a Description for extra context.
Save the task and it joins the list. The task name also supports inserting variables, so you can pull matter details straight into the wording.
